My number one choice for getting extra cash and gift cards is Swagbucks. You just search the web like you would normally through google or Ask but you search through Swagbucks instead. You can win points aka. Swagbucks while doing something you already do. You'll receive 30 Swagbucks in your account just for signing up and you only need 450 for a $5 Amazon gift card. On an average day you can earn anywhere from 10-50 Swagbucks from searching and on Fridays, it's Mega Swagbucks Day where it's possible to win more! I average around 30 from searching per day. It won't make you rich but it will add up and get you some free stuff! In addition to points from searching they put out codes that you can find for additional bucks. I'm on the computer a lot and usually get every code. I will post here when one is available and how long it's good for.
